Social Media - Child Privacy

Effective September 3rd, 2026: A small change we’re making to protect the littlest members of our Village.

As families, we know how quickly technology and AI are changing. Recent cases involving the misuse of children’s images, along with the creation and misuse of AI-generated images depicting children — including images that do not involve real children — have made us think more intentionally about digital privacy. Because of that, we’ve decided to take an extra step to protect the privacy of the children who attend our events.

Moving forward, identifiable children’s faces will stay out of our public-facing content whenever possible.

Photos: We’ll focus our photography on families, activities, details and the moments happening around us rather than intentionally capturing identifiable children’s faces. Before a photographs are posted publicly, identifiable faces will be covered, cropped, blurred or edited out whenever practical.

Videos: Children may naturally appear in the background or in quick moments. Before videos are posted publicly, identifiable faces will be covered, cropped, blurred or edited out whenever practical. We may also use quick frames, shorter clips or sped-up portions of a video to avoid prominently showing a child’s face.

When content is posted: Our goal is that children’s faces are not intentionally featured or clearly identifiable in the photos, Reels, Stories or other public-facing content we share.

This applies even when a parent has given permission for their child to be photographed. We’re choosing to make child privacy part of our organizational standard.

This doesn’t mean we won’t capture the joy, laughter and memories that make our events special. It simply means we’re choosing to be more intentional about what images of children become part of their digital footprint.

Our Village is built around families — and protecting our littlest villagers is part of protecting the village.

Thank you for understanding and supporting this change.
