Who Are We?

The Village Within Foundation is a community-driven organization dedicated to empowering moms, strengthening families, and building meaningful connections across local cities.

Our Affiliate Chapters empower women to lead, connect, and build meaningful communities in their own cities. With our guidance, resources, and support, chapter leaders are equipped to create opportunities and connections that strengthen local families. South DFW Mom Village is the first chapter in our Affiliate Program.

We currently operate under an as a nonprofit organization while The Village Within Foundation’s application for federal 501(c)(3) tax-exempt status is pending. Upon approval, South DFW Mom Village will become the founding chapter of The Village Within Foundation’s nonprofit organization.

Village Relief Fund

Temporary financial assistance for families - food, diapers, childcare, clothing, school needs, wellness services, and more.

Village Mental Wellness Initiative

Postpartum support, mom burnout, mental wellness education, grief support, therapy assistance, and more.

Village Gives Back

Family-centered community service and giving-back opportunities. Partnering with other local nonprofits to truly make a difference in the communities we live.

Village Joy Fund

Helping families access experiences and create joyful memories they might otherwise not be able to afford.

Village Response Team

This is a long-term vision for trained volunteers who can provide compassionate 24/7 support, resources navigation, and connections to professional/emergency resources.

Community Baby Closet

Baby and maternity essentials provided to families who need them.

What is The Village Within Foundation?

We are a community-driven organization dedicated to empowering moms, strengthening families and building meaningful connections. We have several initiatives, events, and provide support to local families.

How can I start an Affiliate Chapter?

We are so glad you are interested in starting a Local Chapter! Please visit the Join as an Affiliate Chapter page on our website to learn more. A Background check is required for any leadership members, and all code of conduct must abide by The Village Within Foundation’s current standards.

How can my business become a Village Partner? Can I sponsor an event or initiative?

We’d love for you to become a Village Sponsor! You can gladly sponsor an event or specific initiative. You can fill out the Support Our Village form on the Support Our Village page, or email hello@thevillagewithinfoundation.com and we will get back to you as soon as possible. All Affiliate Chapters sponsorships will run through The Village Within Foundation.

How can I volunteer?

Check out our Support Our Village page on our website. From there, you will see all ways you can volunteer with our organization. We’d love to have you!

How can I find a Village near me?

Go to our Village Chapters page on our website, and hit the drop down. You will be able to see all of our chapters to locate one in your area.

Events

For Events, are all family members allowed?

Yes! Unless it is an event that specifically states otherwise, all family members are allowed at events. We welcome everyone! Dads, Grandparents, Aunts, Uncles, Cousins, Guardians and Caregivers.

Will you take photos of my children at events?

Only with your permission! If we are allowed to take a photo of you and your child, you can request us to cover your child’s face. All of our videos are on a quick speed, so children’s faces are limited when viewing the videos. We understand how important social media safety for children in, so please let us know if you have any specific questions or concerns.

Are your events free?

Majority of our events are free! If there is a cost associated, we strive to keep it low cost and affordable. Many local businesses work with us to create discounted rates at our events.

Do I need to RSVP? If so, what if I can’t make it?

RSVPs are required to attend our events. We do this to make sure we have an expected headcount for any activities, vendors, and space limitations. All of our RSVPs are done through Luma and can be located on any of our social media pages. Please change your RSVP in Luma if you cannot attend an event. At this time, there are no refunds if you cannot attend. If an event is cancelled or rescheduled and a ticket price was required, a refund or transfer is allowed.

What ages are welcome at your events?

All ages are welcome! We cannot promise that families with similar ages will be there - but we strive to ensure our events can include all ages unless stated otherwise.

Getting Support

How can I request support? Do you have income limits/restrictions?

Visit our Village Resources page to learn more about local resources, and resources our organization specifically offers. You can contact us directly via that page or on the Contact Us page. We do not have income restrictions or limitations at this time. We understand that anyone at anytime can go through a challenging time and need assistance. Requesting support is not an automatically approved.

What types of support do you provide?

Our support is really unique. While we offer support, we also partner with other local organizations, so if we are unable to assist you, we will help direct you to an organization that can. We offer many initiatives you can locate on this page under Our Initiatives.

Who qualifies for assistance?

Anyone can! We do not have restrictions. However, applying for assistance is not guaranteed. If we are unable to assist you, we will direct you to other local resources in your community as well.
